P'Faun evolved from the duo "Betzler & Brückner" by drummer and co-founder of the iconic German 80s electro rock band P'Cock , Tommy Betzler, and ambient and electronica artist Michael Brückner.
The duo had recorded two albums under their original name.
On both, guitarist Sammy David already had joined them as a guest. When he turned an official member, the trio chose a new name:
P'Faun!
